The Space Wolves are one of the original First Founding Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, created during the Great Crusade and led by their legendary Primarch, Leman Russ. Their homeworld, Fenris, is a death world of icy oceans and volcanic islands, where survival demands strength, cunning, and resilience. Unlike most Space Marine Chapters, the Space Wolves reject the rigid structure of the Codex Astartes, favoring a more instinctive and saga-driven approach to warfare. Their organization is built around Great Companies, each led by a Wolf Lord and operating with considerable autonomy. The Chapter is renowned for its close combat prowess, wolf-themed iconography, and unique units such as Blood Claws, Grey Hunters, and Long Fangs.
