Brother-Dreadnought Skorri Firehowl (Space Wolves)

Personality
[edit | edit source]Skorri Firehowl is a storm barely caged in ceramite. Though newly interred, his voice still carries the raw fury and pride of a living warrior, crackling through vox relays with the same fire that once roared across the battlefield. He is impatient with ritual, dismissive of pity, and hungry for war — not out of bitterness, but because he refuses to let death silence his saga.
Unlike the ancient Dreadnoughts who speak in riddles and sagas, Skorri is blunt, direct, and fiercely loyal. He fights not as a relic, but as a warrior who still remembers the sting of frost on his skin and the weight of a bolter in his hands.
Background
[edit | edit source]Skorri was once a Long Fang pack leader, known for his volcanic temper and unerring aim. He earned his name during the Siege of Thrym’s Hollow, where he directed fire support that shattered an entire Tau armored column. His packmates said his war cries could be heard over the roar of plasma fire — like a Fenrisian firestorm given voice.
He was a rising star in Ragnar Blackmane’s Great Company, often chosen to anchor the line or provide overwatch during the Great Wolf’s lightning-fast assaults. Skorri’s bond with his pack was legendary, and his disdain for retreat was absolute. His experiences against Drukhari, Tau and Orks made him a suitable candidate to join the Deathwatch along with his brothers, Bjorn Stonehowl and Hrothgar Ironpelt.
Mortally wounded during the Assault on the Shardspire, Skorri was recovered by his brothers and interred within a Deathwatch Ballistus Dreadnought chassis — a rare honour among the Space Wolves, who typically favour melee-focused Dreadnoughts. The ship's Techpriests saw in him a perfect match for the Ballistus’ long-range firepower and battlefield control.
Since awakening in his new form, Skorri has struggled with the stillness of the sarcophagus. He has not yet begun to adorn his frame with the fetishes, bones, or saga-runes that older Dreadnoughts bear. His armor is bare, save for the black and silver of the Deathwatch, and the wolf sigil of the Blackmanes. A reflection of a warrior who still sees himself as living, not legend.
