[edit | edit source]Ralor Vex is a warrior of solemn dignity and quiet resolve, shaped by the disciplined traditions of the Sky Sentinels and the trauma of his Chapter’s annihilation. He is methodical, introspective, and fiercely loyal, often serving as a stabilizing presence within his Kill Team. Vex rarely speaks of his past, but his every action reflects a deep sense of duty — not just to the Emperor, but to the memory of his fallen brothers.
Among the Deathwatch, he is respected for his tactical clarity, aerial combat expertise, and his ability to remain calm under pressure. Though he carries the burden of loss, he channels it into precision and purpose, believing that survival is a sacred obligation.
Background
[edit | edit source]The Sky Sentinels were a Codex-compliant Chapter of unknown origin, known for their aerial assault tactics and orbital precision strikes. Ralor Vex was born on Pranagar, the Chapter’s fortress world, and inducted into the 4th Company after surviving the Trials of the Sky Vault — a grueling test of marksmanship, endurance, and zero-gravity combat.
He served with distinction during the Pandemonium Offensive, coordinating drop assaults and eliminating key xenos targets with surgical bolt fire. When Pranagar was overrun by the forces of Magnus the Red during the 13th Black Crusade, Vex was among the few survivors off-world as he was already undertaking his secondment to the Deathwatch. Unable to return to his Chapter, hecontinues to fight, in honor of the Sky Sentinels’ legacy.
