Among the Deathwatch, he is known for his unshakable presence, his methodical battlefield control, and his unflinching willingness to hold the line. He has little patience for theatrics or flair — only results matter. His loyalty is absolute, and his endurance legendary.
Background
[edit | edit source]The Star Phantoms are a Chapter forged in sacrifice, known for their siege warfare, attrition tactics, and their infamous role in the Badab War. Eron Vask was born on Haakon’s Reach, a fortress world ravaged by orbital bombardment and xenos incursions. He was inducted into the Chapter after surviving the Trial of the Iron Bastion, a test of endurance and marksmanship under siege conditions.
Vask served in the 9th Company, specializing in heavy fire support and defensive operations. His preference for the heavy bolter reflects his philosophy: suppress, contain, and annihilate. He was seconded to the Deathwatch following a campaign against Ork warbands in the Maelstrom Zone, where his fire discipline and refusal to retreat earned him the moniker “The Wall.”
