The Angels of Absolution are a Second Founding Space Marine Chapter descended from the Dark Angels, notable for their belief that they have already earned absolution for the sins of the Fallen. This sets them apart from other Unforgiven Chapters, as they do not consider themselves burdened by guilt, though they still actively hunt the Fallen in service to the Emperor.

Founded in the 31st Millennium, the Angels of Absolution are structured similarly to the Dark Angels, including formations akin to the Deathwing and Ravenwing. Their Chapter Master, Master-Castellan Moddren, leads from their fortress-monastery Soul’s Well on the world of Allhallow. They wear bone-white power armour with black and red accents, symbolizing purity and vigilance. Despite rejecting the title “Unforgiven,” they maintain an Inner Circle known as the Hidden Brotherhood, which holds secret knowledge of the Fallen and the events surrounding the Fall of Caliban.

The Chapter has fought in numerous campaigns across the galaxy, including the Siege of Vraks, the Corinth Crusade, and the Battle of the Caliban System. Their warriors are known for discipline, zeal, and a strong sense of justice. Notable figures include Apothecary Septimus, a charismatic Deathwatch operative, and Master Yafrir, who was slain during the final battle on Vraks. The Angels of Absolution continue to serve the Imperium with conviction, balancing their belief in redemption with a relentless pursuit of traitors.
