Personality
[edit | edit source]Cassius is a fervent and uncompromising warrior-priest, whose faith in the Emperor is matched only by his hatred of the alien. He is known for his intensity, charisma, and iron resolve, often inspiring awe and fear in equal measure. Though a member of the Ultramarines, Cassius is far more radical than many of his brethren, embracing a zealot’s fury in battle and a missionary’s fire in speech. He is a natural leader, but his methods are often seen as extreme — even by other Chaplains.
Background
[edit | edit source]Originally a Chaplain of the Ultramarines Chapter, Ortan Cassius rose to prominence during the Tyrannic Wars, where his hatred of the Tyranids became legendary. His experiences forged him into a ruthless xenos hunter, and he was seconded to the Deathwatch, where his talents could be fully unleashed. Cassius became one of the most effective recruiters for the Deathwatch, personally selecting and training new initiates from across the Adeptus Astartes.
He is also known for his role in founding the Cassius Formation, a specialized strike force designed to counter Tyranid threats with precision and overwhelming force.
Missions Prior to Deathwatch
