The Nemesis Chapter is a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of the Second Founding, descended from the Ultramarines’ 22nd Chapter. Known for their specialization in Exterminatus operations, they carry a legacy of judgment and purgation dating back to the Great Crusade.

Originally part of the XIII Legion, the 22nd Chapter earned the name “Nemesis” after fighting alongside the then-Loyalist Night Lords to purge Abhuman corsairs in the Cancerai Nebula. These Terran-born warriors favored Destroyer units and were frequently deployed for Exterminatus missions. After the Horus Heresy, they became a full Chapter during the Second Founding, retaining their grim role as enforcers of Imperial will.

The Nemesis Chapter’s colors are dark green, with a stylized white skull as their badge. Their flagship, the Lex Talonis, is a Gloriana-class battleship originally captured from the Word Bearers and re-sanctified for Imperial service. They participated in campaigns such as the Orphean War, where they fought against the Necron Maynarkh Dynasty. Despite their obscured homeworld and leadership, the Nemesis Chapter remains a symbol of relentless judgment and battlefield precision.
