The Harbingers are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown founding and genetic origin, known for their expertise in voidship boarding actions and planetary drop assaults. They hail from the feral world of Birmingham, ominously nicknamed the “Black Planet” due to its perpetual darkness.

Led by Chapter Master Nimrod Grudge, the Harbingers have participated in several major campaigns, including the Gothic War, the Battle of Piscina IV, and the 13th Black Crusade. During the Gothic War, their battle barge Unrelenting Fury engaged Ork forces in space, sustaining damage but surviving. In the 13th Black Crusade, they withdrew from Ork engagements to contribute eight full companies to the defense of the Cadian Gate against Abaddon’s forces — showcasing their strategic mobility and commitment to the Imperium.

Visually, Harbingers wear blue and yellow power armour, with tactical symbols and company colors marked according to Codex Astartes standards. Their Chapter badge features a large ebon sword with a radiant halo, symbolizing their role as grim enforcers of Imperial will.
