The Red Scorpions are a fiercely loyal and puritanical Space Marine Chapter, renowned for their unwavering adherence to the Codex Astartes and obsession with genetic purity. Their origins and gene-seed lineage remain a mystery, which has led to suspicion among some Imperial factions, though their record of service is unimpeachable.

Founded before the 35th Millennium, the Red Scorpions operate from the battle station Vigil in orbit around Zaebus Minoris, deep within the Ordon Rift. Originally a fleet-based crusading Chapter, they are known for their isolationist tendencies, refusing to ally with xenos or even Imperially-sanctioned Abhumans. Their Apothecarion holds a uniquely elevated status, with Apothecaries often leading squads and the Master of the Apothecarion serving as second-in-command of the Chapter. This reflects their fanatical commitment to preserving the sanctity of their gene-seed.
