The Mentors Chapter, also known as the Mentor Legion, is a Codex-compliant Space Marine Chapter founded during the 26th Founding in 738.M41. They are renowned for their intellectual prowess, technological innovation, and unique role as battlefield tutors and test-bed warriors for the Imperium.

The Mentors operate from a classified homeworld and fortress-monastery, maintaining close ties with the Adeptus Mechanicus. Their primary function is to field-test advanced wargear and tactics, often deploying small elite squads to support other Imperial forces. These squads are composed of highly trained Veterans known as Tutors, who act as force multipliers and strategic advisors. The Chapter also maintains an Elite Cadre — a group of exceptional warriors tasked with special operations, infiltration, and command roles across the Imperium.

Their combat doctrine emphasizes adaptability, precision, and knowledge acquisition. Mentors are often seconded to other Imperial organizations, including the Deathwatch, where they prefer to operate independently or in support roles.
