Formed during an unauthorized mission to the mining world of Ghosar Quintus in 681.M41, the team was instrumental in uncovering the existence of Genestealer Cults within the Imperium. Their investigation began after the mysterious disappearance of Inquisitor Chaegryn, who had reported signs of alien worship and disturbing religious iconography. Cassius, suspecting xenos influence, assembled a kill-team without formal approval to bring the Emperor’s vengeance to whatever lurked beneath the planet’s surface.

Designated as an Aquila Kill-team, Cassius’s squad was composed of elite Space Marines from various Chapters, each bringing unique skills and armaments. Members included Vael Donatus (Ultramarines), Zameon Gydrael (Dark Angels), Drenn Redblade (Space Wolves), Rodicrus Grytt (Imperial Fists), Ennox Sorrlock (Iron Hands), and others such as Jetek Suberei (White Scars), Jensus Natorian (Blood Ravens), and Edryc Setorax (Raven Guard).
