The Imperial Fists are one of the original First Founding Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, created during the Great Crusade and led by their stoic and unyielding Primarch, Rogal Dorn. Known for their mastery of siege warfare and defensive strategy, the Imperial Fists were instrumental in fortifying the Imperium’s holdings and played a pivotal role in the construction of the Emperor’s Palace on Terra. Their discipline, resilience, and unwavering loyalty made them one of the most trusted Legions during the early days of the Imperium. 

During the Horus Heresy, the Imperial Fists stood firm against the traitor forces, defending Terra during the climactic Siege of the Imperial Palace. Rogal Dorn’s strategic genius and the Legion’s indomitable spirit were crucial in holding the walls against the onslaught of Chaos. After the Heresy, the Chapter was reorganized under the Codex Astartes, though they retained their unique traditions and emphasis on fortification and endurance. The loss of their Primarch left a lasting mark, but his legacy continues to shape their doctrine and culture.

In the modern era, the Imperial Fists remain a bastion of strength within the Imperium. Based on the fortress-monastery known as the Phalanx, a massive void-faring star fort, they continue to serve as paragons of duty and sacrifice. Their warriors are known for their pain tolerance, precision marksmanship, and refusal to retreat, often fighting to the last man.
